Homefront 2:

Crytek UK is bringing us Homefront 2 as players fight to defend their home soil in place of THQ. With THQ’s downfall still fresh in many gamers memories, Crytek may have some big shoes to fill. While the original developers did a pretty good job bringing the battle to American soil, the game was certainly more than a bit controversial at the time, pairing Americans against a united Korean military.

Hopefully Crytek will be able to get a few less mixed reviews on this game, and as it stands, we’ve seen very little of it so far, if anything of any substance to be honest. Gamers that love military shooters like Battlefield and Call of Duty may really get into this game and playing as the underdog whose country has been invaded is always a fun point of view to play from. Crytek’s done well with other first person games like Far Cry and the Crysis series, so this change of hands from THQ may actually work out for the best for this franchise.
