Planetside 2 (PS4):
Well, PC gamers have had this little free-to-play number for awhile. It’s a fun and in-depth online shooter that does a pretty good job of keeping things fair and balanced. This game is a 3-way grudge match between the Terran Republic, New Conglomerate and Vanu Sovereignty. With three classes that have different, yet comparable weapons, skills and load-outs, you’re bound to find this game to be a good old-fashioned competitive grudge match.
It may even be just what the doctor ordered if you’re a fan of shooters, but have grown tired of the somewhat generic modern combat titles like Battlefield and Call of Duty. Even if you’re not too sure about it, PlanetSide 2 is free-to-play so the only cost to you may be some time you lose if it’s something you end up not liking, but with battles unfolding by both land and air, and a myriad of weapons and customizations, chances are you’ll find something you like.
