Inscryption
Mind bending is Inscryption’s seamless blend of deckbuilding, roguelike escape room gameplay, and dark, deep, intense horror. Make no mistake, Inscryption is unsettling, but a lot of its violence – the sacrificial animals, cruelty, and self-harm – is implied not seen. That said, the rules of the inky-black card game – themed mostly on wildlife – insistently require lesser, more unfortunate animals be offed in order to deal high damage to bigger, deadlier beasts. And that’s not all, as the game progresses more complex rules are introduced, with Inscryption becoming a moral and psychological minefield as you try to escape from the dankest woodland cabin in gaming.
