The combat in Team Ninja’s Nioh is almost complimentary to Ninja Gaiden. Instead of outright twitch slashing, there’s a focus on altering one’s stance, chaining combos together and preserving your Ki with the right pulses (especially when dodging). However, the sheer range of weaponry and combinations available along with employing Ninja skills and Onmyo magic drives the complexity further up.
