13. Far Cry 4
Far Cry 4, as its predecessors, features an open world. But it’s way better this time with the gelid touch of the Himalayas inspired by places like Bhutan and Nepal; the game employs new gameplay mechanics like using bait to throw off enemies and there’s even the chance of getting attacked from above.
The mountains have a mystical beauty to them and the enigma of the place is utilised to harbour treats nicely. The game has an almost infinite number of possibilities that would make players utilise tools and objects to their liking and advantage. And what better to roam the huge open world than with a partner in co-op mode? This is one of the best entries at E3 2014.
