Phantom Paz – Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
Many characters have experienced excruciating deaths in the Metal Gear Solid series (RIP Grey Fox). Paz is definitely near the top, suffering extreme torture as a POW before having a bomb removed from her stomach, that too without anaesthesia. Following her death in Ground Zeroes, Paz re-emerged in The Phantom Pain having lost her memory. Eventually, it’s revealed that Paz is a hallucination, the medical room where she was found still being under construction. Venom Snake eventually accepts her death as the hallucination offers some form of farewell.
