POOR LITTLE TRAPPED GRUBS (HOLLOW KNIGHT)
Littered throughout the winding and intertwining map of Hollow Knight are adorable little grubs that are trapped in glass jars, making pleading noises for some valiant bug to come and rescue them from their captivity. When you break these jars open and watch these cute little insects happily hop off, it brings a smile to your face every time, without fail. But in video games, no good deed goes unpunished. Because occasionally, those grubs trapped in glass jars are the game’s way of fooling you, and as soon as you shatter the jar, they turn into vicious beasts. These are actually also quite dangerous, with plenty of health and surprising agility, so next time you see those grubs, think twice before deciding whether or not you want to set them free.
