Latest polls show that most gamers are boys/men, indeed. However, girls/women are definitely coming up and nearly matching the men. These polls are often countering and saying women are starting to outnumber the men, but we all know those polls are counting mobile games on phones as well. Which a real gamer doesn’t include cellphone games as real gaming. Women have stepped into the male dominated domain to show that games are not just for us anymore. As the late Satoru Iwata of Nintendo once said so brilliantly: ‘Above all, video games are meant to just be one thing: Fun for everyone.’
