Game Overview:
LEGO Horizon Adventures is an action-adventure game developed by Studio Gobo and Guerrilla, and published by Sony.
It is a LEGO-themed retelling of Horizon Zero Dawn’s story, geared at younger audiences and with co-op supported.
"As a studio, we needed to refresh the palette. It was, by choice, the opposite of Killzone," says the studio's art director, Roy Postma.
Reddick – who played Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West – passed away last year at age 60 due to natural causes.
The LEGO adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn launches on November 14th for PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch with local and online co-op.
Players also get classic Horizon outfits like Banuk Armor and Shadow Stalwart, a metal version of Aloy, and a roller coaster.
As suggested by a premature PlayStation Store listing in August, Sony's upcoming LEGOfied Horizon retelling will be releasing this November.
Though since pulled, Sony could be preparing to announce a definite release date for Studio Gobo's action-adventure title.
"We have definitely bent the rules a lot. But the characters remain core to who they are," says James Windeler, narrative director at Guerrilla.
The action-adventure title is due out for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC this Holiday, though a release date hasn't yet been announced.
Co-developed by Studio Gobo and Guerrilla Games, the LEGO adaptation of 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn utilizes Unreal Engine 5.
The upcoming action-adventure title also seems to feature two additional playable characters, which have yet to be revealed.
Narrative director James Windeler compares the experience to playing a LEGO movie starring characters from Horizon Zero Dawn.
True to recent leaks, an action-adventure LEGO game has been announced for the Horizon franchise.
The action-adventure title will allegedly be playable solo and in co-op, with cross-platform multiplayer supported for the latter.
It's been claimed that the LEGO-themed game will be similar to Horizon Forbidden West and feature a realistic art style.
