Glitches in video games can be an annoying thing, sometimes even game-breaking, but often they lead to genius ideas that can define an entire experience. Over the years, there have been several instances of developers discovering glitches in video games that actually turn out to make the entire experience much better, to the point where they stop being glitches and become entire features and mechanics in and of themselves. In this feature, we’re going to take a look at fifteen such glitches.

C-BUG – GRAND THEFT AUTO: SAN ANDREAS

The C-Bug in GTA: San Andreas was a glitch that went on to be used quite widely by the game’s online community, since it essentially allowed players to do large amounts of damage very quickly. Certain weapons in the game – such as the desert eagle, for instance – do greater damage, which is balanced out by the fact that they need to be reloaded more often. By pressing C right after taking a shot, however, this bug allowed players to skip the reload animation and take the next shot immediately.
