There are more than 50 distinct pieces of Armor in STALKER 2, spread across body armor, hazmat suits, exoskeleton, helmets, and masks. With several resistances to offer, plus slots for Artifacts and weight considerations, it can be difficult to identify the best combination of body Armor and helmet, or even an all-in-one protective solution.
This STALKER 2 guide is a small selection of the best early and late game Armor to choose from, along with their location and stats.
SEVA-I Suit
A common gripe with the SEVA suit revolves around the insufficient level of protection offered by its integrated bulletproof vest. The upgraded Spark version seeks to eliminate this issue.
This Armor is a great support piece to hold in your inventory specifically for traversing hazards. Relatively lightweight, and protecting against a broad spectrum of elemental damage, the SEVA-I Suit also offers the very earliest Psi Protection you will see in the game. The two other lesser variants of this suit are also viable alternatives.
The SEVA-I Suit is located inside a locked cell in the Duga region’s Arms Depot. Duga is situated in the south-west of the world map. Upgrades for the suit can be performed by Screw, the Technician in Rostok.

Aeroprotection Gas Mask
Standard equipment for Ward soldiers, this gas mask provides reliable protection against chemical and radiation hazards. The reinforced visor adds an extra layer of defense against stray shrapnel.
This early helmet is one of the few pieces of headgear to offer some measure of PSI Protection, allowing you to pair that benefit with body Armor that covers the rest of the elemental damage types.
The Aeroprotection Gas Mask can be found at the northern edge of the Wild Island region, which is north-east of the Lesser Zone. It will be on the ground within a locked cell that can be accessed with the passcode: 2711.

Ruby Exosuit
An experiment in cost-effective exoskeleton design, the Ruby combines upgraded Corundum components with first-generation servos to offset the armored suit’s substantial weight.
This secret Exosuit has one of the highest ratings for Radiation Protection at a full 4 bars. Physical Protection falls slightly short of other exoskeleton-class suits, but elemental protection is on par with them. A small bonus to PSI Protection also comes in handy.
The Ruby Exosuit is located in Prypiat, on the derelict upper levels of the Enerhetyk Palace of Culture. Upgrades for the suit can be performed by Bolero, the Technician right there in the Enerhetyk Palace of Culture within Pripyat as well as by Harpy, the Technician at Yaniv Station.

Mask-1 Helmet
A heavy-duty assault helmet equipped with ballistic goggles and an aramid-reinforced respirator.
The Mask-1 Helmet offers the highest Protection for physical and elemental damage of all headgear available in STALKER 2, and even offers some low PSI Protection.
This helmet can be found in a bag in the sewers while exfiltrating during the ‘To the Last Drop of Blood’ quest.
