Sonic Mania did what many thought was no longer possible- it made Sonic great again. In fact, it’s probably one of the best – if not the best – Sonic games ever made. It has some truly great level design, a great mix of old and new stages, and controlling Sonic himself is an absolute blast. Sonic Mania is, admittedly, a little lacking in the co-op and competitive departments, and it’s pretty easy to finish the game in just a handful hours, but even so, going back to play it’s many memorable stages never gets old.
