SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY
Nintendo made an excellent decision when they decided to return to a more open-ended free-form approach with Super Mario Odyssey. Because not only is there a ton of things to do in the game, there’s also just so much variety to all of it. There’s something interesting to see or do around every corner in the game, which means the player is constantly caught in the loop of “one more Power Moon”. Putting the controller down once you start playing Mario Odyssey isn’t the easiest thing in the world to do, and the fact that Mario himself controls like an absolute dream makes the entire experience that much more joyful.
