BAYONETTA 2
This is, according to almost everyone who’s ever played this game, the pinnacle of the action genre. The original Bayonetta itself was already an excellent game, but Bayonetta 2 took its formula and improved upon it almost to the point of perfection. Bayonetta has a stunning move-set, and pulling off her moves is as gratifying as it is brutal. Those who want to breeze through the game without ever delving too deep can always do so, of course, but once you dig a little deeper, you find that there’s a surprising amount of depth here, which makes replaying through Bayonetta 2’s levels an addictive and thrilling exercise.
