FROSTPUNK
On normal difficulty, Frostpunk isn’t that difficult- it can present a challenge at times, but it’s still fairly easy to get through. On harder difficulties though, it can be surprisingly challenging. Events often bring unexpected new problems to deal with, while the game also keeps throwing decisions your way that are incredibly hard to grapple with- while it’s easy to make the most of a situation by being a tyrannical despot, the game can be much more difficult if you try to retain your humanity as a leader. In that, it’s a game where you’re, to a large extent, crafting the difficulty yourself, and that makes it one of the most compelling experiences of 2018.
