APB: All Points Bulletin – $100 million
Crackdown 3 developer Realtime Worlds had a little project not too long ago called APB: All Points Bulletin. Was it the killer app many hoped it would be? Not quite but it wasn’t terrible either. However, when development costs were upwards of $100 million, things slowly deteriorated for the studio. Realtime Worlds would sell a second property to keep APB going before eventually selling the game to K2 Network for £1.5 million. That translates to $2,187,187 – about 1/50th of the initial development costs.
