RATCHET AND CLANK: RIFT APART
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart definitely feels like one of very few games right now that were made specifically with the PS5’s hardware in mind, and its use of the DualSense is a prime example of that. The adaptive triggers and the haptic feedback are both used in consistently clever ways, specifically when paired with the game’s vast and varied arsenal of weapons, which change their behaviour and their applications based on how far back you pull the trigger. It’s a great early example of how these features can be used not just for surface level stuff, but for actual gameplay mechanics as well.
