Like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Returnal also very much feels like a game made specifically to leverage the PS5’s hardware, and once again, its use of the DualSense’s features really shines. Haptic feedback implementation, for example, is absolutely stellar- being able to physically feel raindrops in the way the controller just ever so slightly vibrates with individual droplets is a perfect example of that. Meanwhile, giving each weapon an alt fire mode and tying it to the adaptive triggers is also a simple yet extremely effective idea, and one that works very well.
