5. Directional Lighting
The game has a sombre and macabre feel to it and it is portrayed splendidly. But what makes the game all the more alluring is the use of lighting. Since the game doesn’t throw the user into a proper, unidirectionally lit environment, it becomes imperative that the developers take into account every source of light that is present in the surroundings and make every frame of the game look accurate. Ready at Dawn seems to have been meticulously and dexterously at work since the lighting system of the game looks exquisite and improvement is yet to come. Expect a lot of shadow play from the various candle lights, fires and the lighting that the characters themselves carry.
