What I like to call the “Half Life 3 Problem”, we’ve all collectively grown up with Superman as an icon and a piece of modern mythology. Almost anybody, whether or not they read comics, can recognize Superman and what he stands for. There’s very little creative liberty that a development team could take to tackle the problems we’ve discussed above without risking that alienation and, well I keep coming back to it, risk not making a Superman game.
