Out of countless Grand Theft Auto clones back in the day, Sleeping Dogs is one of the few games that managed to capture that magic while also inducing its own spirit into the open-world framework of Rockstar’s creation. Sleeping Dogs would receive plenty of critical and commercial praise for its merits, and developer United Front Games had plans for an ambitious sequel that sadly never got past the conception stage. With the developer already having closed doors a long while ago, it’s almost impossible that Sleeping Dogs 2 will ever be released – but there’s no harm in some wishful thinking.
