ESCORTING NATALYA (GOLDENEYE 007)
8 times out of 10, if a game tells you you’re going to have to escort and defend another character for the coming section, you know you’re in for a horrible time. The section in GoldenEye 007 that tells you to escort Natalya through a few levels does not disprove that statement. It’s a textbook example of terrible escort levels, not only because Natalya and her slow-to-react AI completely kills the game’s pacing, but also because – like so many other AI companions – Natalya has a deathwish and will run straight into bullets with no second thoughts.
