The original Elex wasn’t anything spectacular, but it garnered enough fandom to warrant a sequel. It’s a shame then that Elex 2 does very little to remedy the criticisms of the original and retreads the same ground with its grindy mechanics, poor performance, and uninteresting story. Elex 2 is a game that would only end up appealing to the most devoted fans of the original, and others might be tempted to pass this one.
