ONLY FEMALE SALANDIT EVOLVE

Salandit is an excellent Fire/Poison type Pokemon, which is among the best new designs this generation. A lot of players, especially ones who did not start out with the fire starter Litten, probably want to catch one, particularly since its evolution, Salazzle, is a total badass. However, before you spend all your time into raising a Salandit, it is very important that you know- only female Salandit evolve. Male Salandit do not evolve. The game never tells you this, so it is possible for you to have spent a good dozen hours raising a perfect nature Salandit, only to learn that it is entirely useless. Female Salandit are extremely rare in the wild (only 12.5% of all Salandit are female), but you can either increase the odds of one showing, by having a male Igglybuff or Eevee with Cute Charm as the lead Pokemon in your party, or you can simply catch a male, and try to breed a female one with Ditto.
