Recently it has come to my observation that there have been a ton of exclusive PlayStation 3 games released recently which is giving the platform some sort of an advantage in the ongoing system wars. There are also a number of games that are rumored to hit the PlayStation 3 at some time in the future. Some of these include franchises which were alive until the golden PlayStation 2 era and a few of them that are totally new franchises. So here are 15 unconfirmed games that we want to see confirmed in no particular order. Let’s take a look.

15. Jak and Daxter

Trust me; fans have literally begged for a PlayStation 3 version of Jak and Daxter. I was really surprised that the last game The Lost Frontier was released on the PlayStation 2 and not on the PS3. But I hope that Naughty Dog are working on it, well at least in conceptual form.

14. Syphon Filter

Syphon Filter had infiltrated Sony’s every major console. It started its life back on the PlayStation One, then got mediocre releases on the PlayStation 2. The franchise really showed its mettle on the PlayStation Portable with two superb releases, but what about the PlayStation 3? Well all we can say is that there are rumors that the game is in development for the platform. The downside? We have been hearing that for 3 years.

13. Heavenly Sword 2

Ninja Theory made an amazing game in Heavenly Sword which showcased a young woman wielding a powerful- yep, you guessed it- Heavenly Sword. The game was pretty well received by the media and was one of the earlier games that set an amazing example of what the PlayStation 3 can achieve. Since Sony owns the rights to Heavenly Sword, I hope that pretty soon we will see a sequel.
