Prey

No, not the Arkane Studios reboot but Human Head Studios’ iconic 2006 first person shooter that was in the works for over a decade. At the time, the gameplay – which featured clever use of portals and gravity along with spirit walking – was praised along with the incredible visuals. Prey managed to sell one million copies on both PC and Xbox 360, and was dubbed a success; however, after a sequel was announced in 2008, the series’ rights would be acquired by Bethesda in 2009. The sequel was subsequently canceled and except for its most hardcore fans, Prey was relegated to memory as the reboot took centre stage.
