Once Human

Post-apocalyptic survival games are plentiful, as are multiplayer shooters, so it’s easy to see how Once Human has been overshadowed when there’re titles like Helldivers 2, Rust, Destiny 2, and Hunt: Showdown to compete with. Once Human’s alien infestation, one whereby any object can be transformed into a grotesque monstrosity, is thoroughly unique – buses spawn legs, road signs grow tendrils, trees attack you. Once Human has some of the most imaginative monster designs seen this year and would likely be a multiplayer shooter that’d gather more players were 2024 not the year Helldivers 2 stole the show.
