Bioware’s trilogy of Mass Effect games is a breathtaking space opera punctuated by memorable characters and engaging gameplay. Legions of fans are understandably excited for its follow-up, which EA has confirmed is in the works and being developed by BioWare. Other than a short and intentionally vague cinematic trailer, we don’t know much about the game at this point – including its official name, bolstering the belief that it’s still some ways off from release.

Rumors have suggested that the game wouldn’t begin full production at least until 2023, presumably for current-gen consoles and PC.
