Even with the slight stumble that was last year’s Resident Evil 3 remake, Capcom’s legendary survival horror franchise is probably in the best shape of its life, and with the upcoming Resident Evil Village, it’s looking to deliver what has the potential to be one of its best outings ever. An excellent, gothic setting, an immediately fascinating narrative premise, an abundance of enemies and monsters to go up against, and the classic blend of action, exploration, and puzzles that defines this franchise- Resident Evil Village might just deliver everything that series fans expect to see in a mainline RE instalment.
