Every game has a set of characters; some awesome, some dangerous, and some foolish ones. But there is always that bunch of loonies in a game who are out there to stomp on our tails and snigger when we get the short end of the stick.

Some of these infernal bamboozlers do their job spectacularly. Here’s a list of the ruddy lot that did it right.

15. Pile Driver Micro Goombas

Super Mario

Super Mario Bros. 3 was a super fun game! Who hadn’t been excited? But the game’s quirkiness was revealed with jumping blocks in World 2. Who would have thought that jolly jumping over brick blocks could result in death?

Pile Driver Micro Goombas were a neat little surprise that were the nascent troll of the time. High jumping Goombas camouflaged as bricks and resistant to fire attacks, they made for a nasty addition to the game.
