Topping all of the modern games relying on set pieces and cutscenes to convey their messages, Metal Gear Solid 2 is the game that took narration very seriously in conveying everything. But Hideo Kojima trolled everyone when the game revealed that the players will be playing Raiden, a massive step down from the bad ass i.e. Solid Snake.

I literally shuddered during Raiden’s conversation with Rose. Raiden was too naive for players to accept his existence and fans were extremely upset by this. No wonder Kojima made him do some over the top action scenes in MGS4.
