Super Mario 64 – The Piano

Super Mario 64 isn’t known for being a creep-fest like other Nintendo games of the era, but there’s one scene in particular that left at least a few people’s underwear a little browner. There’s a piano in Peach’s castle that you can approach. You figure you might be able to play it, or at least admire it, whatever. But for no explained reason, the piano jumps to life and tries to eat you. It’s not all that scary on its own, a standard big sharp and angry eyes monster, but it’s the random springing to life that gets you, every time.
