Bionic Commando – Mr. D’s Death
Mr. D in Bionic Commando is Hitler. There’s no getting around it. However, that doesn’t make his death scene any less mortifying to any of the kids who played this 2D shooter. After you defeat Mr. D, the final boss in the game, he… explodes. He explodes into hundreds of meaty chucks just like the hamster in Maniac Mansion, but this is a million times more graphic. You didn’t find this level of gore in many NES games, to say the least.
