Another Capcom entry, although this one was actually an honest mistake. In Street Fighter 2, Ryu is supposed to say “You must defeat Shoryuken to stand a chance” when he wins a game… except he actually says, because of a mistranslation, ‘You must defeat Shen Long to stand a chance.’ The problem? Shen Long isn’t real! He never was. Players drove themselves silly trying to unlock this secret character, the ultimate mythical test of their Street Fighter 2 mettle… but of course, there was nothing there.
