Over reliance on QTE
Quick time events work wonders in games like Bayonetta where they allow players to interact with fantastic action scenes and perform feats that would have been otherwise impossible. Relying on this mechanic too much takes away from the game itself and causes the experience to become tapping a button the moment it flashes onscreen, which is never as much fun as it sounds. I am looking at you, Resident Evil 6.
