Another game on this rundown in early access, so the presumption is any shortcomings can be resolved before the game releases proper. However, according to the game’s own Steam page Winter Survival is a fully fledged game despite its early access tag, so there isn’t much hope this soulless example of harsh, frozen survival will improve. Complaints here range from poor graphics ruining immersion to barely any meaningful animation in the game’s multitude of resource gathering actions. It’d be unfair to write it off yet; many reviewers liken it to a worthy alternative to The Long Dark after all.
