20 Minute Video of Yakuza Zero Shows Off New Footage, Returning Characters, And More

Squeals of delight ensue.

Yakuza Zero, the upcoming PlayStation exclusive in Sega’s long running hit crime action series, just got a brand new 20 minute long video, that shows us new footage from the game (mostly cutscenes, all introduced by the game’s producer Masayoshi Yokoyama), as well as several characters from the game.

Long time series fans will undoubtedly recognize many of their favorites, and they will be delighted to see them looking much younger than they remembered- which makes sense, since Yakuza Zero is supposed to be a prequel to all other games in the series.

Although until recently, I would have signed off by saying that the game has almost no possibility of a western release at this point, recent developments (mostly Sony taking on the task of localizing the Yakuza games for western markets on themselves, as they demonstrated at the PlayStation Experience event back in December) means that we may actually see this game hit western shores some time. Until then, the game only has a Japanese release confirmed, on PS3 and PS4 on March 12.
