YAKUZA: LIKE A DRAGON
All great franchises have to figure out how to reinvent themselves and still retain their essence at some point in their lives. Yakuza is surely a great franchise, and with Yakuza: Like a Dragon, it’s surely reinventing itself. No one would have thought until not that long ago that the next mainline Yakuza game would be a turn-based JRPG, but here we are. And you know what? It looks great! It looks silly and ridiculous, just as Yakuza should, while it’s also hinting at a dense and engaging world and a compelling cast of characters- once again, just as Yakuza should.
