The GameCube was an absolute dream come true for survival horror fans, wasn’t it? But while Resident Evil remake and Resident Evil 4 were grabbing all the headlines, there was another game that was somewhat lesser known but should still be held in equally high regard- Silicon Knights’ Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem. To this day, it remains one of the best examples of psychological horror done right. There’s no shortage of games that question the sanity of the protagonist in unique and bizarre ways, but very few do it as well as Eternal Darkness.
