Star Wars Battlefront

The latest software and hardware sales charts from Japan have just come to us courtesy of Media Create, and a lot of it is exactly as you would assume- the 3DS and PlayStation 4 are laying all competition to waste, and leading the hardware charts indisputably, while the Wii U and the PS Vita languish in the mid tier. The Xbox One is already seeming like a distant memory.

But it’s on the software side that things get interesting, as we see western centric shooters, like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Star Wars Battlefront dominate the software charts. Battlefront, as a matter of fact, debuted at #1, and has far exceeded even the most optimistic of predictions about its performance in Japan. It is really something.
