Despite being very early days yet, Nintendo’s new handheld has already seen its first firmware update.
Nintendo say the update makes “improvements to overall system stability”, applies a SpotPass upgrade “for receiving notifications and other data”, and “enhances network connection functionality … to allow communication with some wireless Internet access points that were previously unavailable”.
To draw in the sceptics, Nintendo have even included a 3D video with the update of Ok Go’s White Knuckles music video. Whether we’ll get the same treatment when the 3DS launches in the UK later today and in the US on the 27th is still unkown. The flood gates have been opened it would seem.
Thanks to CVG for the info.
