Bungie Took New Risks as an Independent Developer
All of you remember when Bungie left Microsoft and essentially the Halo franchise, and we all remember what a shock it was to all of us. On October 5, 2007, Bungie and Microsoft announced an end to their partnership, making Bungie an independent company, titled Bungie Limited Liability Corporation.
However the Halo franchise remained with Microsoft, and I’m not sure they can pull of the future games without Bungie at the helm. Regardless of what happened between Bungie and Microsoft, Destiny is the first game to be made by Bungie since leaving Halo and Microsoft, and we all know just how well Bungie did with their first independent game. This is pretty bad-ass if you think about it.
