The trailer showcased violent gameplay using words such as “topless” to mean cutting a player in half. This was further explained as being part of the “Skill Shot” system, which graded players depending on how creative their kills were. Shot an enemy in the balls and then kicked him into a cactus to turn him into a pin-cushion? More points to you, sir. Did we mention the oodles and oodles of swearing? Bulletstorm also featured a heaping helping of violence on top of all that. Some of the news networks argued that games like it are responsible for crimes. The game and its trailer were targeted because of its profanity and crude behaviour.
