8 Sequels That Won’t Get Released in 2011

Alan Wake 2

Remedy must be hard at work on the sequel, But I am pretty sure this will not be a 2011 game.

After the cliff hanger handing of the original, Remedy games must be working on the sequel to one of the finest survival horror games of last year, Alan Wake. I was expecting Remedy to wrap up the story through its DLC which they did not.  Alan Wake 2 will see the light some day, but that day will not belong to 2011.

Splinter Cell 6

Conviction in many ways saved the Splinter Cell series from being a straight forward stealth game…the sequel should see the light next year.

I think the last game, Conviction, took the series in to a new direction. Its amazing cover system and shooting mechanics made the game more streamlined and attractive to the fans of the third person shooter games like Gears of War. It is already confirmed that Splinter Cell 6 will get released, but according to me, not in 2011.

Castlevania Lords of the Shadows 2

A sequel to Castlevania is almost a no brainer…but not in 2011.

Castlevania was one of the best, if not the best action adventure games I have played in recent years. I don’t know why it never got along with many of the critics out there, but I had no issues with falling in love with the 20 odd hour long story and game play which may be similar to Kratos’s outings. Now here is a bit of SPOILER for you. If anyone of you had finished the game, you must have remembered the ending.  Zobek visits the Gabriel, who is now Dracula and tells him that he can help him to get rid of his problems. Now we all know that a DLC named Resurrection is coming up which explains what happened after the events of the first game. But an epic tale will be getting over via a DLC? I won’t take that.  There will be a sequel but just not in 2011.
