13. Preventing random people from attacking you costs money
This is like bribing someone for them not to kill you. Assuming you have $100 on your person, that is exactly the amount you need if you want to stop people from shooting you in the head whenever they feel like it, so it may be worth it just to beat a few folks senseless to get that money.
