2. Gordon Freeman (Half Life Series)
Gordon Freeman is our silent protagonist, and not once do we ever hear him, but rather we see through his point of view. The concept of Gordon Freeman was that he is the player and the player represents him and thus the game is always viewed through the eyes of Gordon. He is involved in an accident that opens up a portal which releases alien beings; he saves the day and gets trapped in stasis. In Half-Life 2, Gordon fights an alien race which is ruling the planet and saves humanity.
