4. Doom 2: John Romero’s Severed Head

John Romero, during the development of Doom 2, had some serious ego issues. To reflect their frustration, the team at id Software programmed a very special Easter egg. When you confront the final boss in the game, you hear a garbled message and all your shots seemingly go through a transparent spot in the wall. If you enable no-clip mode, you can pass through walls to find Romero’s head on a stake. The message played backwards revealed that you must defeat the final boss, John Romero.
