RUMOUR: Luigi’s Mansion Sequel Set to Appear on the 3DS

Remember Luigi’s Mansion? It was the Luigi themed Gamecube launch title, that gave Mario’s taller, greener brother the starring role for the first time, and provided for an interesting twist on the established formula. Anyway, the well received game has since faded into obscurity, and there have never been any rumblings of any possible sequel, or even re-release, for the title, which just goes against Nintendo’s basic grain.

Apparently, a sequel to Luigi’s Mansion is a real thing. As Nintendo Power reports, among other things, there is a strong likelehood of Luigi’s Mansion 2 coming to the 3DS. No other details have been provided about this specifically, though there’s loads of other interesting 3DS info and tidbits, including a specific point that tackles the ever sticky issue of DSiWare transfers.
