‘Halo 4 Will Exceed Expectations’, Says Franchise Director Frank O’Connor

343 Industries mean business and they’re going to make sure Halo 4 is received as one of the most popular Halo games ever, although, he admits that there will be cynics and people who doubt their capabilities. The only way to prove them wrong is by releasing a fantastic game, and that’s what 343 are aiming for.

Having confidence in your product is great, though, and 343’s franchise director Frank O’Connor has revealed that the game will exceed expectations. The game’s core content is finished and the team is currently bug fixing and all those little polishing that matters in the end. The game, however, hasn’t gone gold yet but will at least a few weeks before release like it usually happens.

“It won’t be perfect, that’s impossible. We have too many constituents and variables in our game, our audience and our community for that to ever happen. But I think the vast majority of people who’ve given us their trust and confidence, no matter how warily or askance, will find something in here that meets or exceeds their expectations,” he said.

“And for the cynics, an understandable position and one we respect, I think the game may surprise even you guys. Of course time and player experience will tell, but there have been many moments that deepened my confidence in where we are. Some of those moments were big ticket brute force Rubicons, and some small, personal moments.”

Halo 4 will be released on November 6th and is shaping up to be a big spectacle.
