Halo 4 is Microsoft’s biggest game

$100 million?

Posted By | On 26th, Oct. 2012

This is not a surprise but Halo 4 is the most expensive game Microsoft has ever made. Now you may think that if Halo 3 cost $60 million, how much exactly did they spend on this, but you have to take into account the advertising costs as well, which are huge.

So all in all, it is going to be a massive expenditure for Microsoft which, by the way, they will get back in a few days, considering how well the series sells.

The franchise is also valued at, wait for it, $3 billion, which is mammoth. Microsoft Studios head Phil Spencer told this to Polygon, and also added that when it comes to the amount of money they have poured into a project, “Nothing is even close” to Halo 4.

Halo 3’s launch was gigantic, this one may just beat that easily due to the higher install base. Whatever it is, be prepared to see the game on your TV until the it comes out.

Halo 4 will release on November 6 exclusively for the Xbox 360.
